Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and knowledgeable Parts Counterperson to join our team at Volvo Shreveport. This is a full-time, individual contributor position in the automotive industry. As a Parts Counterperson, you will be responsible for providing outstanding customer service while accurately and efficiently fulfilling parts orders for our customers. Compensation & Benefits: The compensation for this position is a base salary of $45,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. In addition to the base salary, the Parts Counterperson will also have the opportunity to earn commission on parts sales. This is a full-time position with benefits including medical, dental, vision, paid time off, and discounts on automotive products and services. Responsibilities:

• Greet customers and provide them with exceptional customer service
• Receive, process, and fulfill parts orders from customers and internal staff
• Utilize computer systems to accurately locate and provide information on parts
• Maintain an organized and clean parts department
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with inventory management
• Assist with parts orders, returns, and special orders
• Keep track of and report any discrepancies or parts shortages
• Work closely with service department to ensure efficient parts delivery
• Stay up-to-date on product knowledge and changes in inventory
• Provide product recommendations to customers based on their specific needs
• Maintain accurate records of parts sales, inventory, and purchases
• Follow all safety procedures and protocols

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in the automotive industry preferred
• Knowledge of automotive parts and systems
• Excellent customer service skills
• Strong computer skills and ability to learn new software systems
• Detail-oriented and organized
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed
• Must pass a background check and drug screening
